AdventHealth South Overland Park Completes Fifth Floor Expansion

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., March 17, 2025 — AdventHealth South Overland Park is pleased to announce the completion of the hospital’s fifth floor expansion. The fifth floor is now exclusively dedicated to caring for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU), providing an additional 12 PCU rooms with six larger ICU rooms that allow higher acuity care.

The fourth floor of the hospital is now exclusively medical surgical and rehabilitation services, with an additional six rooms, allowing for distinct spaces and better patient care.

The fifth-floor expansion continues exciting momentum for AdventHealth South Overland Park. In August 2024, the AdventHealth South Overland Park Birth Center celebrated completion of construction on an expanded facility featuring 15-state-of-the-art suites, 24/7 OBGYN coverage and enhanced amenities – doubling in size to better serve the growing needs of the community.
