Taking a sneak peek into the brand-new AdventHealth Apopka, which is set to open in early December, you will find so much more than a brilliant state-of-the-art hospital with expanded health services for our local community.
You'll see smiling faces, inspiring messages of faith and hope and the team of expert physicians, nurses and staff that create the culture of human compassion that you can feel throughout every inch of the seven-story 320,000-square-foot hospital.
For the community, this means world-class care closer to home for residents of west Orange County with 120 private inpatient rooms, expanded surgical services, critical care, advanced surgical suites, expanded imaging, cardiology and a cardiac catheterization lab.
Some additional clinical services at the new hospital or medical office building include:
Gastroenterology and endoscopy services
General surgery
Interventional radiology
Pulmonary rehab
Sports medicine and outpatient rehabilitation
Urology services
The hospital will also expand the community's access to emergency services, with a 30,000-square-foot emergency department, which is five times the size of the current hospitals ER space. It will be equipped to treat adults and children, with several pediatric-friendly beds and specially trained pediatric staff.
To keep the spirits of every patient, family and visitor lifted as well as bellies well-nourished the hospital will have a chapel and meditation garden, chaplain services, a full-service cafe and Marketplace Gift Shop.
