Patented Educational Device
Overview
Dr. Mavroudis had a concept for simulation device that would greatly improve surgical education. ISA worked closely with Dr. Mavroudis to file IP, develop and test a prototype. A key feature of the device is that it supports and presents the heart as the surgeon would view it in an actual surgical setting. This realism, leads to better training. A set of reusable devices were created and used by Dr. Mavroudis during his lecture on arrhythmia surgery at the 50th annual Society of Thoracic Surgeons conference in 2014.
