AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation Receives Grant for Acute Neonatal Services

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, Feb. 6, 2025 – The AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation is excited to announce it has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Perry N. Rudnick Endowment Fund through the Community Foundation of Henderson County. The grant will be used to expand labor and delivery care in The Baby Place at AdventHealth Hendersonville to include acute neonatal services that will allow convenient, comprehensive, high-quality care for newborns and their families, close to home.

“This initiative aims to improve health outcomes, reduce patient transfers to distant hospitals and enhance support for families during and after birth,” says Bo Caldwell, the AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation Director.

AdventHealth Hendersonville has provided personalized care to Western North Carolina for more than 100 years, with a network of care that serves twelve counties alongside out-of-state patients. This grant will provide AdventHealth Hendersonville additional resources by expanding to a neonate acute care center in Henderson County that will provide women and their newborns the affordable and vital care they need to lead happy, healthy lives.

AdventHealth Hendersonville is deeply grateful for the generous support of The Community Foundation of Henderson County. Foundation President, McCray Benson and his team have an exceptional commitment to the families in our community that is truly inspiring.

Caldwell goes on to explain, “Together we are making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our neighbors, ensuring that every family has access to the vital services they need to lead happy, healthy lives. We are thankful for the Community Foundation of Henderson County and its work to connect AdventHealth with the generous support of the Perry N. Rudnick Endowment Fund.”

The Community Foundation of Henderson County supports charitable programs in the greater Henderson County area. Founded in 1982, The Community Foundation administers more than 500 funds with assets of more than $100 million.
