AdventHealth, in partnership with the Kentucky Family Resource, Youth Services Centers (FRYSC) of Clay County and First National Bank of Manchester, is excited to announce the upcoming Summer Fitness program. This free, 8-week initiative is designed for individuals ages 7 years and older, aiming to promote physical activity and provide valuable lessons on health and wellness.
Program Details:
- Start Date: June 2, 2025
- Duration: June and July
- Schedule: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Location: Clay County Middle School gym
Participants will undergo an initial screening and written test on the first day to assess their nutrition and wellness levels. The screening will include measurements of body weight, body mass index (BMI), and body fat percentage, while the test will cover nutrition-related topics. Additionally, the program will feature nutrition lectures to further educate participants. Our dedicated trainer for this program will be Payshence Henson.
AdventHealth has a long-standing tradition of caring for the whole person, a principle that dates back over 150 years to the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our mission is to help individuals achieve whole health by healing their bodies, strengthening their minds, and lifting their spirits.
