Shelli Johnson has been named executive vice president and chief people officer for AdventHealth, effective May 4. She will report to Olesea Azevedo, chief culture and transformation officer for AdventHealth.
"I've had the pleasure of working with Shelli for several years and I know her to be an inspirational leader, innovative thinker and trusted partner," Azevedo said. "She is the right person to lead people strategies in support of our more than 100,000 team members as they advance our vision to be known for whole-person care."
With more than 15 years of experience with AdventHealth, Johnson most recently served as chief people officer for the Multi-State and Primary Health divisions, where she played an instrumental role in aligning HR systems and strategies to drive improved people outcomes. Her additional experience includes leading organizational readiness for the implementation of the company's current enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and building the organization’s HR operating model. She also spent several years as an organizational design and transformation consultant. She began her career at AdventHealth as an intern.
"I'm incredibly honored to step into this role and build on the momentum of our aspiration to become an employer of choice in every community we're in," she said. "We know that will entail a strong culture where team members are united and inspired to deliver on our mission and promise to help those we serve feel whole."
