The AdventHealth Waterford Lakes ER has opened to expand health care services and better serve residents in east Orange County.
The approximately 19,000-square-foot facility will have 24 patient rooms (including two pediatric-friendly rooms to make ER visits less stressful for young patients); respiratory therapy; diagnostic imaging, including CT scans, X-ray and ultrasound; and a full-service laboratory.
The facility is staffed by a comprehensive clinical team including board-certified emergency physicians and emergency nurses.
“We are pleased to add this ER to our expanding network of care across central Florida,” said Jeff Villanueva, CEO of AdventHealth East Orlando. “The east Orange County, UCF and Oviedo areas are expanding quickly, and we are growing along with the community. This addition will help us continue to provide whole-person care in a setting that’s close to home.”
The Waterford Lakes emergency room is located at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Lake Pickett Road.
In upcoming weeks, AdventHealth will also open a free-standing ER in Oviedo on Red Bug Lake Road near the Oviedo Mall.
