TAVARES, Fla., Sept. 3, 2024 — AdventHealth Waterman is the first hospital in Lake, Volusia and Flagler counties to integrate a groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) software, called Deep Resolve Boost, into its Siemens 3T Vida magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. This state-of-the-art technology sharpens image quality and cuts MRI scan times by 30-50%, dramatically improving both patient comfort and diagnostic precision.

"This new technology represents a major leap forward in medical care,” said Dr. Asif Bhimani, neuroradiology section chief for AdventHealth Medical Group. “By using AI to reconstruct images, we can improve clarity, allowing for faster scans and quicker diagnoses.”
Traditional MRI scans, which typically take 40 minutes to an hour, can now be completed in half the time with Deep Resolve Boost. This is particularly beneficial for patients suffering from claustrophobia or chronic pain, giving them a more comfortable experience.
“MRIs can be difficult for some patients with claustrophobia,” added Bhimani. “Some patients even require anesthesia before undergoing an MRI. With this new approach, we can reduce scan times, easing patient anxiety and often eliminating the need for sedation.”
The AI-powered Deep Resolve Boost technology also significantly reduces blurriness in images, leading to unparalleled diagnostic accuracy.

"We can now diagnose with greater clarity, accuracy and confidence while prioritizing patient comfort," said Bhimani.
With the integration of the Deep Resolve Boost technology, AdventHealth Waterman is setting a new standard in patient care. This innovation not only enhances diagnostic capabilities but also transforms the overall patient experience, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to providing the best possible care.
As AdventHealth continues to adopt the latest advancements in medical technology, the organization remains dedicated to improving health outcomes.
