AdventHealth has named Brent Davis senior vice president and chief operating officer for the Primary Health Division, in addition to his current role as division chief financial officer. In this expanded role, Davis will continue to oversee financial strategy in addition to having operational responsibility for the Population Health Services Organization, which leads and supports AdventHealth and its provider networks in the adoption of value-based, integrated health care. Davis officially stepped into this role on November 5 and will continue to report to David Banks, AdventHealth chief strategy officer and president/CEO of the Primary Health Division.

“Brent is a strategic thinker who is focused on the growth and success of our outpatient businesses, with the goal of extending our networks outside the four walls of the hospital and better meeting people where they are,” Banks said. “With his leadership over both financial strategy and operations, Brent will be able to streamline and advance the work that will help get us to this goal.”

Prior to joining the Primary Health Division leadership team, Davis was the regional chief financial officer for the AdventHealth facilities in Volusia, Flagler and Lake counties. His former experience includes serving as CFO at Kettering Medical Center System in Ohio, St. Anthony North Hospital in Colorado and AdventHealth Avista, also in Colorado. He began his career as a senior auditor for Ernst & Young in 2008.

“As clinical and payment models continue to evolve, I’m excited to be a part of AdventHealth’s aspirations to strengthen alignment with both consumers and providers so that we can help more people stay well and feel whole,” he said.

Davis received a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in information technology from California Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Walla Walla University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Together with his wife Angela, Davis has two kids, Lincoln (7) and Everly (5). In his spare time, he enjoys water sports, beach days and other opportunities to be outdoors.
