AdventHealth has named Carl Dupper to the position of CEO for AdventHealth Winter Garden. He will assume leadership of the facility on Jan. 21, 2019, partnering with Tim Clark, who will continue serving as CEO for AdventHealth Apopka. Dupper will report to Tim Cook, who serves as CEO for AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and oversees the north and west markets of the organization’s Central Florida Division – South Region.
“Carl has tremendous leadership skills and a deep understanding of health care operations that will be critical in this role. That, combined with his strong commitment to our mission and passion for impacting the community, gives me great confidence that the facility will grow under his guidance,” said Cook.
The AdventHealth Winter Garden campus is poised for growth, with the coming addition of a new 100-bed inpatient pavilion. The 3,000-square-foot pavilion will enable the facility to offer more comprehensive services for area residents.
Dupper currently serves as director of operations for AdventHealth Centra Care, where he leads operations for 16 urgent care facilities across three regions of the AdventHealth care network. Prior to that, he completed AdventHealth’s management residency program, specifically designed to equip individuals for health care operations and administration roles through leadership development and experience in acute care, outpatient and post-acute environments.
“I am incredibly honored and blessed to have the opportunity to lead AdventHealth Winter Garden, especially in a time of growth for the facility and west Orange County,” said Dupper. “I look forward to working closely with the caregivers and team members as well as members of the community as we fulfill our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.”
Dupper earned a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Union College. He earned the Lean Healthcare Certificate from Belmont University and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Dupper's wife, Mollie, is a youth and young adult pastor at Spring Meadows Seventh-day Adventist Church, and together, they enjoy supporting and participating in church and community activities. In his free time, he also enjoys spending time with his wife, reading and playing soccer.
