AdventHealth has named Dallas Purkeypile president and CEO of AdventHealth South Overland Park located in southeastern Johnson County, Kansas. He will assume leadership on March 18 and will report to Sam Huenergardt, AdventHealth Mid-America Region president/CEO.
“Dallas is a trusted leader in our region who embodies our mission and vision, while leading with a servant heart,” Huenergardt said. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his ability to grow the markets he’s served in, and we are excited to have him join our leadership team at AdventHealth South Overland Park.”
Previous to this role, Purkeypile served as president and CEO of AdventHealth Ottawa, assuming responsibility for the facility shortly after it joined the AdventHealth family. During his time there, the facility saw a four-year increase in volume growth due in part to the addition of a new medical oncology program, as well as behavioral health services. In February 2024, the AdventHealth Ottawa Health Park celebrated its grand opening, which expanded outpatient services for the region.
Purkeypile has also served in the role of executive director of operations for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and as director of operations at AdventHealth Lenexa at Prairie Star, where he led the successful opening of the freestanding campus.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the outstanding AdventHealth South Overland Park team in their efforts to extend Christ’s healing ministry into this growing market,” said Purkeypile. “I look forward to tackling new growth opportunities and sustaining the clinical success for this facility as we seek to ensure AdventHealth fills the vital role of providing world-class faith-based health care to the region.”
Purkeypile has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Union College and a master’s in business administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University. He is a graduate of the inaugural cohort of AdventHealth’s Executive Leadership Program. Purkeypile serves on the local United Way, Midland Adventist Academy and Kansas Healthcare Collaborative boards. He is also an active member of his community, volunteering on projects like the Ministerial Alliance Day of Service.
