LENEXA, Kan., — AdventHealth Lenexa City Center, which is slated to open in July 2025, has named Mark Brady, MD, FASA, as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Brady has served for the past 27 years as a physician anesthesiologist for Midwest Anesthesia Associates, PA, on the AdventHealth Shawnee Mission campus.

Dr. Brady has been an anesthesiologist with AdventHealth since 1998 and has held a variety of leadership and volunteer roles within the organization. He currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Kansas Medical Society and also serves as a Board member of the Kansas Hospital Association and KAMMCO.
In his new role, Dr. Brady oversees clinical operations at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center, ensuring the physician perspective is represented in all strategic planning and is a liaison for medical staff to the executive team.
Dr. Brady has earned a number of professional honors throughout his career, including being named a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (FASA), a recipient of the AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Integrity Award and graduate of the AdventHealth Physician Leader Fellowship. Dr. Brady earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed both a residency in anesthesiology and an internship in internal medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. He is Board-certified in anesthesiology.
Dr. Brady is the first appointed chief medical officer of AdventHealth Lenexa City Center, which, upon opening, will become the first and only full-service inpatient hospital based in Lenexa, Kan., and is rounding out the newly appointed executive team including Sissel Jacob, Chief Financial Officer Rodney Allen, and Chief Nursing Officer Teresa Noland.
