Anthony Moir meets Flight 1 team members Skye Vriesenga and Jon Inkrott.
Recent high school graduate, Anthony Moir, is a fan of all things EMS, especially the helicopters and flight crews.
“Whenever he sees any helicopters, he can name them, by color,” says Anthony’s father, Rich Moir.
The Lakeland teenager, who has autism, wrote to AdventHealth asking for a patch to go in his collection, from the Flight 1 medical helicopter program, which is part of AdventHealth’s comprehensive emergency medical services (EMS) program.
Instead of dropping one in the mail, the team invited Anthony to meet the team and tour the helicopter and AdventHealth’s flight operations facility at Orlando Executive Airport.
“I wanted to learn what it’s like in the medical field,” said Anthony Moir.
He learned about that and much more during a visit filled with magic moments.
