FLAGLER, LAKE AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES, Fla., June 1, 2018 Kelly Ferguson has been selected to serve as director of public and government affairs for the Florida Hospitals in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
In this role, Ferguson will represent Florida Hospital at various government, business and community events and is responsible for planning, supporting and implementing government and public affairs efforts for Florida Hospital DeLand in DeLand, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida Hospital New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach, and Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares.
Ferguson has 25 years of experience in government and non-profit development and management. She previously served as chief executive officer of WORC, Inc., a local non-profit organization, overseeing the efforts of 68 staff in providing direct care, residential options, and workforce development to adults with disabilities. She has also previously served as the executive director of the FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools and the development director for the News-Journal Center in Daytona Beach. Most recently, she worked as a licensed realtor in St. Johns, Flagler and Volusia counties.
A Volusia County resident since 1993, Ferguson has served as a community volunteer on several boards and for many civic and service organizations, including the Junior League, Cultural Council of Volusia County, PACE Center for Girls, Volusia County Schools, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Blue and Gold Gala, as well as many others.
A current Daytona Beach resident, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Communication from Florida State University.
