Florida Hospitals Local Physician Group Names Chief Medical Officer

VOLUSIA/FLAGLER COUNTIES, July 12, 2018 Family medicine physician Dr. Darin Jordan has been named as chief medical officer for Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners. With more than 75 locations throughout Volusia and Flagler counties, Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners is a physician group of more than 160 doctors in over 25 specialties. Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners is affiliated with Florida Hospital and is a member of Adventist Health System, one of the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care systems in the nation, with 46 hospitals in nine states. In his new role chief medical officer for Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, Jordan will oversee the functions related to physicians and patient care, including quality, risk, physician relations, medical staff services, compliance with accrediting bodies, patient satisfaction, and physician governance. Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Jordan has more than 20 years of experience as a family medicine physician. Most recently, Jordan served as chief medical officer for AMITA Health Medical Group, one of the largest medical groups in Illinois with nearly 500 doctors in nearly 80 locations. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. He went on to complete a family medicine residency at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois. He also earned a Certificate of Medical Management from the American College of Physician Executives and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
