Adventist Health System (AHS) has opened its new, state-of-the-art Leadership Institute on its Altamonte Springs, Florida, corporate campus. The 7,000-square-foot facility was created to identify, nurture and develop emerging executive leaders across the organization's footprint, which includes nearly 50 hospital campuses, while also providing resources to foster professional growth and development for all team members.
'Investing in the future of the organization is one of our top priorities, and the Leadership Institute is a reflection of not only our commitment to creating a pipeline of leaders, but also to providing the training, mentoring, resources and support to foster the growth and development of all the team members who help advance our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ,' said Randy Haffner, senior executive vice president for Adventist Health System, president/CEO for the Multi-State Division and executive sponsor for the Leadership Institute.
To celebrate the opening, corporate services team members recently had a chance to experience the Leadership Institute first-hand at a special open house event where they toured the new space, learned more about its many offerings and opportunities, interacted with executive leaders and enjoyed various refreshments.
The Leadership Institute will offer numerous workshops and resources to help foster growth and learning opportunities for team members on every level. Informed by the organization's history and legacy, the Leadership Institute's curriculum and materials were developed in partnership with the Advisory Board, Harvard Business Publishing, and current and former AHS executives and team members. The Leadership Institute's rooms are named after AHS's five values: 'Quality Service, Excellence, Community Wellbeing, High Ethical Standards, Stewardship and Inclusiveness' which serve as a reminder of what leaders hold true across the organization.
Believing that its greatest resource is its people, the launch of the Leadership Institute is part of the organizations effort to attract, engage and retain top talent to fulfill its mission and deliver on its promise of wholeness.
