AdventHealth Medical Group is pleased to announce that Rachel Harris, MD, MPH, FACC, has joined AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Rome.
Dr. Harris joins Charles F Jackson lll, MD; J Christopher Merritt, MD, FACC; G Hunter Myers, MD, FACC; Himanshu Patel, MD; Kipp Slicker, DO, FACC; G Justin Tanner, MD; J Michael Ware, MD, FACC; Lori Brady, NP-C; Shirley Greenway, AGACNP-BC, CCRN, RNFA; Nicole McDaniel, PA-C; Amanda Preteroti, PA-C; Karen Roberts, MSN, ACNP-BC; Marenda Russell, NP; and the care team at AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Rome, which offers a wide range of medical services for its patients. The clinicians provide comprehensive services and solutions that help patients and families in every stage of life.
Dr. Harris partners collaboratively with you and a multidisciplinary team to accomplish your desired treatment goals with care and compassion. “The practice of medicine is an art that is constantly honed and adapted to meet the needs of each individual, and I look forward to partnering with each patient I will care for,” Dr. Harris said.
Dr. Harris earned her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine. An internal medicine residency at Duke University Hospital was followed by cardiovascular disease fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.
In addition to practicing general cardiology, Dr. Harris brings extensive training in advanced cardiovascular imaging. She completed a cardiac CT practicum at John Hopkins Hospital, as well as an advanced imaging fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr. Harris also holds a Master of Public Health degree in nutrition from Loma Linda University School of Public Health.
Outside of caring for her patients, she enjoys reading, biking and long walks.
