Seleem Choudhury has been named president/CEO for UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks in Glendale Heights, Illinois, effective June 15, 2025. He will report to Kenneth Rose, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook president/CEO, who also provides strategic
oversight for the GlenOaks campus.
"We're excited to have Seleem, who has an extensive background in clinical and operational leadership, join our executive team at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks," Rose said. "His expertise and passion for quality, whole-person care will continue to expand our presence and enhance our services to the community."
With 20 years of experience in both academic and community hospital settings, Choudhury joins UChicago Medicine AdventHealth from Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, where he has served as chief operations officer since 2021.
His previous roles include as chief nursing officer for New York City Health and Hospitals, senior vice president of executive clinical network operations for the University of Vermont Health Network, president of Porter Medical Center and vice president of professional services for Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.
Choudhury’s new role has him returning to the AdventHealth system; he once served as service line director of emergency services, critical care float pool and cardiology for AdventHealth Parker in Colorado earlier in his career.
"Rooted in the rich heritage of my Irish and Bangladeshi family, and shaped by a lifelong passion for health and equity, I believe leading at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks means more than delivering care -- it means honoring every person's story, nurturing whole-person healing and building a healthier, more compassionate community together," he said.
Choudhury completed his bachelor's degree in nursing from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. He later earned a Master of Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, as well as a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Vermont. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Nursing and a graduate of the Baldrige Executive Fellows Program.
He is also an avid reader and writer, constantly exploring ideas and stories that connect people and inspire change.
