After splitting his time between AdventHealth Castle Rock and AdventHealth Parker, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Devin Bateman, MD, will be transitioning full-time to Parker.
We have promptly sought a replacement and are pleased to announce that Jesse Loar, MD, has accepted the CMO position at AdventHealth Castle Rock. Both will begin their roles on March 1.
Dr. Bateman started with AdventHealth Castle Rock as an Emergency Room physician when the hospital opened its doors and was named the CMO for both AdventHealth Parker and Castle Rock in 2019. During his tenure, Dr. Bateman has overseen several accomplishments related to quality and patient safety and has helped the hospital earn the prestigious Leapfrog Top General Hospital Award three of the last five years.
“I will miss the people who make Castle Rock so amazing and welcoming,” said Dr. Bateman. “There aren't many hospitals or even workplaces that make you feel like AdventHealth Castle Rock when you walk through its doors. Our culture is truly special and it is because of the people we work with every day.”
Dr. Loar has been an emergency department physician in the Rocky Mountain Region with AdventHealth since 2015, serving as the Emergency Department Medical Director at AdventHealth Castle Rock since 2019. He has worked in emergency medicine since 2011 and before that spent time working in a biochemistry lab with Children’s Hospital in Seattle and two years in the Peace Corps in rural Mongolia.
In his new role, Dr. Loar is enthusiastic about preserving the excellent culture and community spirit at AdventHealth Castle Rock while also focusing on growth.
“I have spent most of my professional career working at Castle Rock in some capacity. The community at this hospital is amazing and filled with kind, wonderful people who truly want to do the right thing for patients and each other. I am honored to be joining the executive team at this hospital,” said Dr. Loar.
When he isn’t at the hospital, Dr. Loar enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He loves to travel, fly fish and will soon be testing for his black belt in Tae Kwon Do with his daughters!
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Bateman on his new role and thank him for his significant contributions to AdventHealth Castle Rock. We also warmly welcome Dr. Loar to our team and look forward to a promising future as we continue our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.
