Dr. (Ellis) Stanley received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Stanley worked as a clinical pharmacist at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL for five years before transitioning into the Medication Safety Pharmacist role at the facility. While serving as the Medication Safety Pharmacist, she led the facility's Medication Error, Drug Safety and Smart Infusion Pump committees. During that time, Dr. Stanley completed the ISMP Medication Safety Intensive program and the ASHP ISMP Medication Safety Certificate. Dr. Stanley joined AdventHealth Orlando in 2021 as the Medication Safety Coordinator and led out on the Orlando Continuous Quality Improvement committee. Dr. Stanley is now the Medication Safety Manager for the Central Florida Division of AdventHealth. She co-chairs the system level Medication Safety Committee, precepts residents and students, and is the residency program director for the PGY 1/2 Medication Use Safety and Policy program. Dr. Stanley enjoys working as a collaborative team with hospital operations, clinical, and informatics to implement best practices.
