Dr. Kanekoa chose AdventHealth Orlando because of the wide variety of learning experiences available that she knew would set her up to be a successful internal medicine specialist. She enjoyed the large residency class and sense of community. She also wanted to continue her training in a large academic medical center. Mahealani is looking forward to being able to focus on the specialty of internal medicine and getting to know her coresidents. Mahealani enjoys going to the beach/pool, trying new coffee shops, and hanging out with friends. She is hoping to try new restaurants and go to Disney and Universal this year. Mahealani's career goals post-residency is to get a job as an internal medicine specialist and get into precepting students/residents.
