AdventHealth Orlando PGY2 - Cardiology

General information:

• Positions available: 1 full-time, 12-month commitment
• Application Deadline: January 3
• Estimated Annual Stipend: $54,300 + meeting attendance support
• Time-off: 10 days paid vacation + 10 Project Days
• Professional Days for ASHP Midyear and applicable specialty meeting (i.e. – ACC Annual Meeting)

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of pharmacy degree
• Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 pharmacy residency
• Possession or Eligibility for Florida licensure
• Participant in the National Matching Services and PhORCAS

The following application materials must be submitted by the deadline: curriculum vitae, 3 letters of recommendation utilizing the PhORCAS template (1 from clinical pharmacist, 1 from Residency Program Director), transcripts from all colleges of pharmacy attended.

Learning experiences are of 5-6 weeks duration and consist of seven core (required) learning experiences and two elective experiences.

• Orientation and General Cardiology
• Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Interventional Cardiology
• Heart Failure
• Advanced Heart Failure (Heart Transplant and Ventricular Assist Devices)
• Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU (Mechanical Circulatory Support)
• Cardiac Intensive Care

Elective Learning Experiences:

• Ambulatory Care Cardiology
• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU
• Emergency Medicine
• Neurosciences ICU
• Clinical Leadership and Research
• Pulmonary Hypertension
• Electrophysiology
• Any required learning experience may be taken again as an advanced learning experience

Longitudinal Learning Experiences:

• Medication Event Review
• Cardiovascular Transitions of Care – every 3rd Friday
• Pharmacy Practice Experience - weekend, evening, and overnight service commitment 
• Research
• Medication Use Evaluation
• Continuing Education
