Over the past two years, we have been able to continue to grow and become a leader in providing comprehensive spine care. As a result, we have recently expanded our practice to better meet the needs of our growing communities. We are please to update you latest additions in staff, technology and research are proud to announce that we will be renaming our practice, The Spine Health Institute. This new name better signifies our comprehensive approach to caring for your back and neck.

• Introducing Dr. Matthew Smith: Dr. Smith specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is fellowship trained in Interventional Spine care. Dr. Smith will also contribute to our continued focus on research to improve patient healing.

• Robotic Assisted Technology O-arm® – Florida Hospital Altamonte is one of a select few hospitals in the nation that offer this multidimensional surgical imaging system technology. We have also been designated as a visiting surgeon’s program to train surgeons nationally.

• Research – We are implementing a research database that will allow us to focus on quality improvement and patient safety.
