The Spine Center is happy to be participating again this year at the Workers' Compensation Institute's annual conference. The 67th Worker's Compensation Education Conference and 24th Annual Safety & Health Conference is being held August 19-23, 2012, at The Orlando World Center Marriott, Orlando, Florida. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to hear expert lecturers speak on the most current issues surrounding workers' compensation. In addition to the conference there will be exhibits showcasing services of local and national health care providers who are considered leaders in their respective fields.

Dr. Chetan Patel, Medical Director of the Spine Center, has authored a chapter on Spine Care and the US Workers' Compensation System in Orthopedic Knowledge Update: Spine Volume IV, published earlier this year. This book has been developed by the North American Spine Society and is published by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. The book in its entirety contains the most up to date information on spine treatments and management techniques, advances in technology, and US Health Policy.

The Spine Center will be hosting a booth in the conference exhibit hall. Members of our multidisciplinary team will be available throughout the conference for any questions and or discussion. We are excited and look forward to sharing our expertise regarding the most minimally invasive treatment options available.
