Penile Implants
| Men for whom other treatments for erectile dysfunction have failed and those who suffer from severe Peyronie’s disease may decide to have surgery in which a penile implant is placed in order to restore their sexual function. Contrary to what some people may think, a penile implant does not make the organ any larger and is not meant for cosmetic purposes. The procedure to place the implant takes approximately one hour and is performed in a hospital or surgery center. Semi-rigid and inflatable implants are available – your surgeon can explain the difference and which one might work best for you. |
