blended fruit in a glass, surrounded by slices of strawberry, banana, kiwi and red delicious apple

Beverages A Vitamin-Rich Drink

Here’s a secret: the strong flavors of strawberry and kiwi make this smoothie the perfect vehicle for adding kale or spinach to the blender. Try adding a cup of one of these raw greens to this smoothie recipe. The added nutritional boost will help everyone, and the flavor of the greens –disappears – promise! The fuzzy oddities called Kiwis are also known as Chinese gooseberries, but aren’t actually gooseberries at all. What they deliver to the sweet smoothie is a low-calorie boost of vitamins C (more than an orange) and K, and a bracing lime-like flavor.
