Mission Spotlight
Honduras
Many children in Honduras are without a family to support them. In 2015, Sharing Smiles partnered with the organization El Hogar to provide dental care to hundreds of children living in an orphanage in Tegucigalpa.
Mexico
Sharing Smiles has transformed the lives of more than 26,000 people by providing free facial reconstructive surgery, pediatric dentistry and pediatric rehabilitation services. Generous volunteers give the gift of a new smile to children in developing countries and help local health care providers establish long-term care.
Peru
Sharing Smiles has created a locally sustainable legacy of ongoing care for our patients by creating dynamic partnerships with health care providers, civic and government leaders, Rotary clubs and other volunteers in each host country. Our team of specialists strengthens local talent and resources through education and medical training so smiles can last long after we leave.
Dominican Republic
In Puerto Plata, Sharing Smiles changed the lives of over 40 orphaned children with physical and mental disabilities. Trained therapists and local partners offered individual treatment plans while caregivers were educated on modern physical therapy techniques.
Bolivia
Cochabamba, Bolivia is the newest Sharing Smiles partner site. Since 2016, our medical volunteers have helped change the lives of over 175 children in need. Families travel from all over the country to get treatment from the highly trained local doctor and Sharing Smiles volunteers.
