Occupational Therapy
Anyone experiencing shoulder, arm, or hand pain and/or dysfunction can benefit from occupational therapy. The focus of occupational therapy is the use of skilled therapeutic intervention for the restoration and promotion of independence at home, at work, and in the community.
Common conditions seen in occupational or hand therapy:
- Hand Conditions: Finger fractures and dislocations, arthritis, trigger finger
- Wrist Disorders: Carpal tunnel syndrome, de Quervain's tenosynovitis, wrist tendonitis, degenerative joint disease of the wrist
- Elbow Disorders: Tennis and golfer's elbow, elbow fractures, cubital tunnel syndrome, radial nerve palsy
- Shoulder Disorders: Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, impingement and thoracic outlet syndrome
