AdventHealth is honored to have been selected—by the community and the State of North Carolina—to build a new hospital to serve the people of Buncombe, Graham, Madison and Yancey CountiesThe North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services recently announced the area needs an additional 26 acute care beds. AdventHealth is committed to Moving Health Care Forward in our community.
On June 17, 2024, we will submit a CON application to locate these additional beds at the new hospital in Buncombe County. These beds represent another opportunity to enhance choice and competition in the region and bring new health care services for our neighbors in the service area.
AdventHealth is grateful by the outpouring of community support, first for the 67-bed CON application and now for this work to bring you additional care access with the new 26-bed CON application. AdventHealth is once again taking this project to the people across these communities. We invite you to be part of these conversations and to make sure your voice is heard regarding the health care that will meet the needs of your families, friends and neighbors.
