The AdventHealth Hendersonville Ambassador Program
Your emotional and spiritual well-being are an important part of your healing process. There is a power in being present and available. That's why we strive to be here for you — to provide a listening ear, a reassuring smile, and as much time as you need to feel comfortable and cared for.
Our Ambassador Program exists to provide you with the loving support that lets you know you're welcome here. Each day, our Ambassadors, often including our President and CEO, spend time at our front entrance greeting incoming patients and visitors. It's all just a small part of a guest experience we hope will bring healing, health, and hope to you and your loved ones.
- Pastoral Care
-
Our dedication to providing compassionate, Christ-centered care continues beyond the birthing center, the exam rooms, and ER. We believe that true health comes from caring for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Our hospitals were built upon this foundation and it still guides the care we provide every day.
Throughout your course of care, if you wish to talk with someone who can provide spiritual support and guidance, our pastoral-care team is here to listen, counsel, and comfort. Regardless of your faith tradition, our team of qualified, spiritual guides will help you stay positive and channel hope and faith. Each of our chaplains focuses on the spiritual healing and restoration of those in our care, including their friends and families.
If you wish to speak with your own pastor, priest, or other personal spiritual mentor, we will be happy to contact them for you. To help ease the transition for those admitted to our facility, all new guests are visited by one of our pastoral-care team members within 24-hours of admission.
Our pastoral-care services include:
- Anointing
- Arrangement of baptisms and communion
- Crisis support for guests, families, and AdventHealth Hendersonville team members
- Devotionals
- Grief counseling
- Guest visitation
- Meditation groups
- Spiritual support
Community-based pastoral-care services:
- Funeral services
- Grief counseling
- Home visitation to former guests under the care of home-health services
- Premarital counseling
To arrange any of the above services, or to speak directly with a pastoral-care team member, please call Call828-681-2159.
We Help Make the Details Easier So You Can Focus on Healing
When you're bogged down with details like making appointments, filling prescriptions, and paying your bills, it pulls your focus from the thing that matters most: healing. Our goal is to make your experience with us as easy and convenient as possible, so you can focus on your recovery.
A hospital stay can bring many visits and services from multiple medical providers. We know it’s hard to plan ahead for an emergency hospital visit, but if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your anticipated health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they participate with your insurance provider. Services may be provided in the hospital by AdventHealth as well as by other health care practitioners who may bill you separately. By contacting your anticipated health care practitioners ahead of time, you can get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services to help avoid any unexpected challenges and fees.
