About the Trainer
John comes to AdventHealth following 16 years in college athletics where he served as Head Athletic Trainer for Football for 12 years. John’s previous stops include Louisiana State University, Carolina Panthers, McNeese State University, Florida Atlantic University, and the University of Tennessee. John has extensive experience working with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to serve active individuals. John’s work at Florida Atlantic University involved increasing services to student-athletes in areas such as preventative medicine, physical therapy, mental health, physician access, regenerative medicine, and manual therapy. John worked with two different hospital systems during his time at FAU, and attributes the success of the sports medicine program to the many great staff, physicians, and students who helped take care of the student-athletes on a daily basis.

- Practice Manager for the Concussion Program in July 2018.
- Member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of Florida.
- Credentialed as an ImPACT Trained Concussion Athletic Trainer.
- Certified in level 1 functional movement screening.
- Completed his master’s thesis while studying instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization known as Graston Technique while at Louisiana State University.
- John was awarded the distinguished Alumni aware in 2012 for the college of health and public affairs at the University of Central Florida.
