Winning Partnership Promoting Health on Game Day and Beyond

As the Official Health Care Provider of the Pop Tarts Bowl and Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, AdventHealth’s sports medicine team provides sideline care for several high-profile collegiate and professional sporting events at Camping World Stadium, including four annual college football games. Our experts are there to provide the highest level of medical care to teams and event participants at the stadium.

Florida Citrus Sports and AdventHealth in the Community

Together, we team up with other local organizations — such as Lift Orlando and Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida — to make a positive difference in our community.

For more than 20 years, AdventHealth has proudly partnered with Florida Citrus Sports to advance the health and wellness of collegiate and professional athletes. Since 2012, our organizations and others have supported LIFT Orlando and its mission to strengthen the West Lakes communities. This nonprofit aims to break the cycle of poverty through neighborhood revitalization, community wellness and increased economic vitality.

Today, AdventHealth is working with Florida Citrus Sports on the NEXT phase of LIFT’s exciting project as we bring an early childhood learning center to the Communities of West Lakes. AdventHealth for Children is spearheading the creation of a high-quality early-learning center in the Communities of West Lakes.

D. Harrison Youmans, MD

D. Harrison Youmans, MD

Dr. D. Harrison Youmans, MD is a board-certified non-surgical orthopaedics and sports medicine specialist. He uses treatments like physical therapy, activity modifications, medication, and immobilization to treat all types of sports-related injuries and other orthopaedic conditions.

John Burnside, ATC

John came to AdventHealth following 16 years in college athletics, including a dozen years in the post of Head Athletic Trainer for football. He has extensive experience working with a multidisciplinary team to serve active individuals.

Mike Dougherty

Michael Dougherty has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 30 years. As Clinical Coordinator of the Sports Concussion Program, he works to provide baseline testing, concussion evaluation and treatment for athletes with the goal of returning them to sports and the classroom.
