Sharing Smiles has transformed the lives of more than 26,000 people by providing free facial reconstructive surgery, pediatric dentistry, and pediatric rehabilitation services. Generous volunteers, including Dr. Raj Sawh-Martinez, a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, also joined the team this year, "People have very strong stigmas against these poor children who, through no fault of their own, are born with a congenital deformity that's front and center. Through a couple hours in a day, we can really change their entire life."

Chrystle Morris shared more about her experience, "Charity is a priceless gift, whose compensation is fulfillment. My experience in Merida, Mexico was just that—fulfilling. You all have to experience something like this for yourself. Only then can you comprehend the meaning of that deep flutter within your heart. However, If you’re unable to partake in something like this, there are other impactful ways to give back."

You can help continue this extraordinary program that gives a new smile to children and help local health care providers establish long-term care to families by donating here.

Thank you to Dr. Chris Dobson, Dr. Raj Swah-Martinez, Dr. Ravi Bissessar, and Chrystle Morris, DNP, CRNA, for sharing your talents with the children and families in Merida, Mexico. We also want to recognize Dr. Bissessar's family, including his wife Rena and their daughters, Raya and Rianna, who also joined the team.
