AdventHealth Sharing Smiles creates smiles and transforms the lives of children in developing countries smile by providing cleft lip and palate treatment, comprehensive dental care and individualized pediatric rehabilitation programs. These lasting legacies ensure that children receive the care they need to live happy, hopeful lives. Sharing Smiles achieves this excellence thanks to the partnership and generosity of people such as our Volunteer of the Month, George Stuart!
Mr. Stuart is an advocate for AdventHealth Sharing Smiles. Over the years, he has traveled to speak about the powerful impact Sharing Smiles has on a child. In addition to spreading awareness, Mr. Stuart has contributed funds to many grants that benefit Sharing Smiles through his Rotary Club. Mr. Stuart was also instrumental in helping Sharing Smiles receive a total of $2 million in Rotary grants for the past two years.
When asked why people should support a program like AdventHealth Sharing Smiles, Mr. Stuart replied, “When you give attention to a child in another country who is in need, you give them the confidence and power they are unable to receive otherwise.”
Mr. Stuart is the President of George Stuart and Associates, a management consulting firm specializing in government and community relations, marketing and business development and strategy formulation for corporate and non-profit clients.
Mr. Stuart, and his late wife Betty, have four grown children and four grandchildren. He is a member of the Church on the Drive and the Past President of the Rotary Club of College Park in Orlando. He presently serves as District Membership Chair and the Global Grants Sub-Committee Chair for Rotary District 6980 in Central Florida.
