AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida is incredibly grateful for ambassadors in the community who are passionate about bringing whole-person care to individuals and families in Central Florida. We are pleased to announce Jessica Galo as our August Volunteer of the Month for 2023 for her philanthropic work at AdventHealth for Children.

Jessica first became connected with the Foundation in 2009, when she began as a new AdventHealth employee as Care Coordinator for AdventHealth for Children. This position was fully funded by philanthropy and the generosity of our donors.

Jessica has continued her career at AdventHealth, and now serves as Director of Specialty Care where she oversees the clinics and programs that help children and families with complex care needs, which rely on philanthropic support. “There isn't an area in the hospital that I support that doesn’t rely on philanthropy. I wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for a donor who believed in a program.”

Jessica played a crucial role in a $6 million grant from Dr. Phillips Charities, a Central Florida philanthropic organization, to support AdventHealth for Children in creating the first-of-its-kind comprehensive pediatric and young adult mental and behavioral health program in Central Florida.

We are so thankful for Jessica’s dedication to whole-person care and for supporting our children’s hospital, the West Lakes Early Learning Center, and various other programs and services.
