AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida is proud to announce Sarah Moylan as our Volunteer of the Month for October, recognizing her exceptional dedication and unwavering support for our annual Golden Gala.
Sarah, a longtime volunteer throughout Central Florida, began working with AdventHealth through our Circle of Friends beginning in 2018. Golden Gala XLIII will mark her second year on the Circle of Friends Executive Board as the Auction Chair, where she brings both passion and leadership to our community.
In her own words, Sarah shares what inspires her to volunteer across various projects with AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida: "I love that we can choose our passion - not just for the Gala, but by helping in other areas where the community needs support, like Pink On Parade. This cause is close to my heart, as I work at Winter Park Women's Center, providing breast ultrasound services. I see patients on their best days and their worst, and to be able to offer care, empathy, compassion, and even a hug during these critical moments in their breast care journey reassures me that I am exactly where I am meant to be."
For the past two years Sarah has organized a team of women to raise funds and volunteer for Pink on Parade. "We do a virtual 5k at Epcot the Friday before the race, allowing everyone to volunteer on race day. This year a few of them volunteered and ran, even my son. It's incredible to see everyone come together and make a difference."
Sarah feels a strong connection to AdventHealth's commitment to whole-person care, stating, "I love volunteering with AdventHealth because of our focus on extending the healing ministry of Christ and the incredible community outreach we provide." Sarah truly believes in giving back and supporting our Central Florida community "Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes, as the saying goes 'It takes a Village'. I am thankful to be a part of one amazing village that is helping in providing the opportunities for those needs to be met in our community."
