We are saddened for our brothers and sisters in India who are currently experiencing some of the worst cases of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of May 4, 2021, India exceeded 20 million infected people with COVID-19, a figure that experts state is certainly an undercount of all those that are infected. India also faces a country-wide shortage of oxygen which has cost thousands of lives. AdventHealth is working with the Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA) to bring oxygen and other medical supplies to hospitals located throughout the country of India. One major project includes the installation of an oxygen-generating plant at a hospital in Surat, Gujarat, India.
AdventHealth is also committed to shipping donated medical equipment and supplies to help additional hospitals. Other projects will be added as funding permits.
