- AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida
Girls just want to have fun! On Saturday morning January 26th like every year since 1977, thousands of mothers and daughters, sisters and friends lined up on the start-line together at this all-women’s AdventHealth Lady Track Shack 5k to celebrate women’s health and fundraise for the AdventHealth Breast Cancer Care Fund.
The AdventHealth Breast Cancer Care Fund was created to help save women’s lives who cannot afford clinical breast exams and annual mammograms - the most effective tool in the fight against breast cancer. The goal set for this year's race was to raise $25,000 for local women in need. Our Central Florida community accepted the challenge and raised $30,000. That will fund over 700 mammograms #FundAMammo!
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated and raised money. We would like to extend a special thanks to to the Co-Owners of Track Shack Jon and Betsy Hughes for their generosity and continued partnership.
