Please join AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida in recognizing Jill Schwartz, our April 2020 Volunteer of the Month. Jill proudly served on the Hospice House Board of Directors for over nine years. She is currently a member of the AdventHealth Foundation Philanthropy Council. Thanks to Jill’s many years of service to AdventHealth Hospice Care, Central Florida families and their loved ones can truly experience Whole-Person Care.
Jill is the managing partner of Jill S. Schwartz & Associates, P.A., an AV rated Labor and Employment law firm. She has extensive experience representing both management and employees. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers University and the University of Maryland School of Law, Ms. Schwartz is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Mediator and Arbitrator.
Jill’s initial experience with hospice was transformative.
“I was first introduced to hospice many years ago when my father became terminally ill. I was so impressed with their kindness, skill and dedication, I made it a personal goal to meaningfully support this critically important philosophy of caring,” Jill recalls.
After learning that there was no stand-alone facility dedicated to end-of-life care in her community, Jill decided that needed to change. She committed her law firm to create an annual signature event and campaign to help raise funds for Hospice of the Comforter to build the first residential hospice facility in Central Florida: Hospice House.
“Hospice of the Comforter has helped ease the pain of thousands of Central Florida patients and their families during their time of critical need,” Jill shared.
AdventHealth Foundation Central Florida is grateful to Jill and her dedicated work to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
