FLAGLER, LAKE and VOLUSIA COUNTIES, Fla., July 11, 2018 Annette Carter has been selected to serve as director of learning for the AdventHealths in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
In this role, Carter is responsible for implementing AdventHealth's strategic plan for education and professional development, while creating an environment of continuous learning across the three-county region. Her role includes nursing and all employee education at AdventHealth DeLand in DeLand, AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, AdventHealth Flagler in Palm Coast, AdventHealth Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, AdventHealth New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach, and AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares.
Carter is a seasoned nursing administrator with more than 25 years of experience leading cross-functional clinical teams within AdventHealth's cardiac, emergency, hospice and surgical service lines. She is passionate about educating, mentoring and growing young leaders in the healthcare arena. Her passion and commitment has led to the development of numerous nursing leaders throughout AdventHealth.
She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in strategic leadership. In addition, she has received nurse executive certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
