DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., May 9, 2017 Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has selected Nash Shook to serve as the new senior director of supply chain management.
In this role, Shook will oversee the overall supply expense and distribution management for the Daytona Beach hospital. He will be responsible for the departments operations with specific attention centered on supply expense management and material distribution optimization, as well as providing leadership to the value analysis process.
Shook has more than 25 years of healthcare management experience in progressive field leadership roles and brings expertise in creating strategically-aligned business plans, executing supply chain performance improvement solutions and facilitating collaborative teams.
Most recently, he served as senior region director for Premier, Inc., a healthcare improvement company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. For 14 years, he was the field leader responsible for improving various clinical and financial business initiatives within Adventist Health Systems supply chain management department.
A New Smyrna Beach resident, Shook earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
In addition, he is a member of the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management, the American Hospital Associations organization representing supply chain management. He is also a former board member of the Alzheimers Association of Central Florida.
