AdventHealth has named Jonathan Armstrong as chief financial officer (CFO) at AdventHealth DeLand, effective May 5.
During his more than 10-year career with AdventHealth, Armstrong has served in many leadership roles, most recently as the executive director of finance at AdventHealth Orlando. In this role, he led the financial management, budgeting and capital planning for AdventHealth’s largest hospital in Central Florida, encompassing more than 1,300 beds, 60 operating rooms, and a 69-bed emergency department.
“I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to DeLand,” said Eric Lunde, AdventHealth President and CEO for AdventHealth DeLand. “His exceptional leadership within AdventHealth gives me confidence that he will further enhance our focus on maintaining national rankings in patient safety and quality, alongside our longstanding commitment to providing whole-person care to the DeLand community.”

Armstrong earned a Master of Financial Management as well as a Bachelor of Arts with a major in math and a minor in business administration from Southern Adventist University.
“It is an exciting time in DeLand, and I am looking forward to supporting the community,” said Armstrong. “I count it as an honor to work with our incredible team of caregivers in furthering the decades-long legacy of extending the healing ministry of Christ to the West Volusia community.”
Armstrong is active in the community as well through his involvement with leading children’s services at his church and organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank.
He fills the CFO position previously held by Arieanna Potter, who recently became the vice president of finance for the AdventHealth Great Lakes Region.
