ORANGE CITY, Fla., July 7, 2014 On June 21, leading healthcare improvement company Premier, Inc. honored Florida Hospital Fish Memorial with the 2016 QUEST Award for High-value Healthcare for providing outstanding patient care.
Florida Hospital Fish Memorial received the award during Premiers annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in National Harbor, Md.
Florida Hospital Fish Memorial was one of 38 hospitals in the nation to receive a Citation of Merit for achieving top performance in any four of the six areas measured in Premiers QUEST collaborative, including cost and efficiency, inpatient and outpatient evidence-based care, mortality, safety, patient experience and appropriate hospital use.
This recognition from QUEST reinforces our commitment to deliver the best care experience to the communities we serve, said Rob Deininger, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial CEO. We're proud to receive the QUEST Award as we continue down our path of improving patient outcomes and community health.
All QUEST hospitals participating in QUEST from October 2014-Septemeber 2015 were eligible for the QUEST Award.
QUEST hospitals have set high standards in clinical excellence nationwide, said Susan DeVore, president and CEO, Premier. Together, they have worked to outperform in healthcare. Premier congratulates Florida Hospital Fish Memorial for their fantastic achievements.
QUEST was launched in 2008 to help health systems reliably deliver the most efficient, effective and caring experience for every patient, every time.
Approximately 350 health systems volunteered to transparently share data and define a common framework with consistent measures that would continually set a top performance goal for both participants and the nation. QUEST participants have prevented more than 176,000 deaths, reduced healthcare spending by more than $15 billion and improved readmission rates by 32 percent.
