The latest robotic surgical technology has arrived at the heart of West Volusia.
Experience the benefits of smaller incisions, less pain and faster recoveries with the new da Vinci Xi surgical system at AdventHealth Fish Memorial. This new system allows the surgeon to be entirely in control of the surgery and offers him or her high-definition 3D views which translates into small and more precise incisions.
During a da Vinci Xi procedure the surgeon is entirely in control of the surgical system, offering the surgeon an immersive 3DHD vision system of a highly magnified view. Precise incisions are made by the advanced EndoWrist™ instruments on the robotic unit.

- Helping You Feel Prepared at Every Step

When you know what to expect, you can feel more confident in your care. We want to help you feel more secure and prepared for your surgical procedure by highlighting each step of the process. Before your surgery, make sure to:
- Arrange for someone to pick you up.
- Arrive on time and check in with reception.
- Avoid eating or drinking after midnight the day of the procedure.
- Follow your physician's medication directions.
- Get a consent form signed by your legal guardian if you are under 18.
- Leave your valuables at home.
- Remove dentures, glasses, contact lenses, and wear minimal or no makeup.
- Talk to your physician about your condition and your symptoms.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and, if directed, a sports bra.
After your procedure, we'll monitor your recovery in our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Here, we'll help you feel more comfortable, prescribe any medications, and educate you on what's to come. We'll be with you every step of the way.
