At AdventHealth Heart of Florida, formerly Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, our compassionate breast cancer center team focuses on you and your needs. We use the latest imaging technologies, diagnostics and treatments to bring you precise results and most important of all, hope.

Digital Mammography: We use digital mammography to precisely pinpoint an area of concern and improve the accuracy of screening exams, especially for women with dense breast tissue.
Breast MRI: A breast MRI may be right for women who are at a higher risk of developing breast cancer, women with dense breast tissue, or those with implants.

We use breast MRI to determine the stage of cancer, the effectiveness of chemotherapy or radiation therapy or further evaluate abnormalities found during a mammogram or clinical exam.
Breast Ultrasound: This type of breast screening is used to further evaluate an abnormality found during a mammogram. We use this technology to see the area closest to the chest wall, which can be difficult to see in a mammogram.
Stereotactic Biopsies: When a lump or abnormal area is detected during screening, a biopsy can determine whether cells are cancerous. Advanced imaging technologies, such as MRI, mammography, or ultrasound, can be combined with minimally invasive procedures to obtain a tissue sample.
