Many conditions, such as diabetes, can lead to ulcers that don’t heal. And without specialized wound treatment these wounds can, ultimately, lead to the loss of toes or limbs.

- Arterial/Ischemic wounds
- Bone infections (osteomyelitis)
- Compromised skin grafts or flaps
- Diabetic/neuropathic ulcers
- Gangrene
- Incontinence or other moisture related dermatitis
- Minor burns
- Osteoradionecrosis (bone death)
- Pressure ulcers
- Radiation injuries/wounds from cancer treatment
- Skin tears
- Surgical wounds
- Traumatic injuries
- Venous stasis ulcers
- Highly Effective Treatment Options
-
When wounds take more than 30 days to heal, it’s time to turn to our experts. With your unique needs in mind, we’ll design a treatment plan that uses a wide range of wound care healing techniques, including:
- Bio-engineered skin substitutes
- Biologicals and biosynthetics
- Growth factor therapy (stimulates cells to heal)
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Negative pressure therapy (vacuum assisted wound closure)
- Total contact casting (keeps pressure away from wounds)
- Transcutaneous oxygen monitoring (measures oxygen level in tissues under the skin)
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
-
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been used for years to help divers with compression sickness and patients with carbon monoxide poisoning. Today, with great success, HBOT is also being used to help heal even the most stubborn wounds.
When you receive HBOT, you breathe in concentrated levels of oxygen at a high pressure. The oxygen works to fight bacteria, close the wound and regenerate tissue. This is particularly useful to treat conditions, such as:
- Burns
- Crush injuries
- Diabetic foot wounds
- Infected wounds
- Pressure ulcers
- Radiation ulcers
- Skin grafts and flaps
HBOT is given over many sessions — as many as 30 for some patients.
