Caregiver Support Spotlight Series: Caregiver Advocacy and Provider Engagement


Join us for this informative session about aspects of Caregiver and Care Support advocacy and effective engagement. Bethanie Templeton, MSW will discuss the role of advocacy related to the care recipient and identify how to effectively prepare for communication with a provider related to primary care and other provider-level services. Bethanie reviews what type of provider services are available and invites former caregivers to attend and share their experiences with other attendees.

AdventHealth in partnership with the Council on Aging for Henderson County is excited to offer the Caregiver Support Spotlight Series that serves to engage caregivers and care support individuals on various topics related to caregiving challenges and emphasizes the needs of care recipients and anyone involved in the care and support of others. The Caregiver Support Spotlight featured topic is introduced and followed by open discussion with connections to information and resources provided.

Bethanie Templeton, MSW serves as the Advent Age-Friendly Liaison representing the Council on Aging for Henderson County. Bethanie has consulted with numerous caregivers and care support individuals and has identified common themes affecting caregivers, care support persons and care recipients, alike. Bethanie has developed the Caregiver Support Spotlight Series and reviews eight areas of concern to provide insight, information, resources, and caregiver connection opportunities.
