AdventHealth Celebrates Volunteers Dedicating Thousands of Hours to Our Community

May 01, 2019 — Hendersonville, N.C. (May 1, 2019) — AdventHealth Hendersonville recently celebrated the incredible team of volunteers who help spread its mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ to people coming to the hospital and other facilities. In 2018, more than 75 volunteers gave a total of 13,000 hours of service.

AdventHealth celebrated this incredible group of people for their dedication to our patients, guests and staff at our Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet in April.

AdventHealth also acknowledged the following volunteers who gave more than 500 hours during 2018:

Teesa Buckner 798 hours

Vera Narveson 749 hours

Yolanda Nedwed 652 hours

Ron Wells 646 hours

Jim Braun 502 hours

The evening’s presentations also included the Auxiliary’s check presentation to the AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation for more than $3,200 to support its annual funding programs. The Auxiliary is able to support the AdventHealth Hendersonville Foundation through services it provides including gift shop sales and its Medical Alert service.
