On October 15, AdventHealth Hendersonville and the Transylvania Hunger Coalition, invite the community to join AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Brevard Physician, Sven Jonsson, MD, MS as he will discuss the importance of nutrition and its effects on treating, reversing and even preventing chronic disease. Dr. Jonsson will discuss the key role nutrition plays in the whole person care he provides to his patients with the goal of helping them experience their healthiest lives possible.

AdventHealth is excited to partner with the Hunger Coalition of Transylvania County for this event. The Hunger Coalition of Transylvania County is a group of individuals who want to address food insecurity in our community. This group strives to do this by providing easier access to food and education on making healthy food choices. The coalition’s mission is to strengthen the existing food distribution network, engage additional resources to combat hunger, and increase access to healthier food options. Its goal is to identify unmet needs in Transylvania County, initiate innovative solutions for gaps in local resources, and partner with existing agencies to provide needed resources, ensuring that everyone has access to healthy, affordable food.
