But we can reduce those risks by taking a few minutes to look around and make a change or two… or as you will learn in our upcoming Age-Friendly Webinar – 10 simple changes.

AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to invite you to the first webinar in our 2022 Age-Friendly Event Series, Top 10 Simple Home Safety Changes.

AdventHealth Hendersonville continues to enhance its efforts as an Age-Friendly Health System Initiative Participant and designation as Committed to Care Excellence. As part of this commitment, AdventHealth is once again partnering with Richard Duncan, Executive Director of the RL Mace Universal Design Institute (UDI) for this informative virtual session on Age-Friendly home features.

During this FREE Zoom event, Duncan will discuss the concerns about home safety at every age, but especially as we grow older. In this webinar he will go over areas of concerns such as safety while bathing, stair use and other common places where accidents happen in the home. He will also show the 10 simple changes we can make to reduce the risks.

The UDI promotes the concept and practice of accessible and universal design for everyone regardless of age, ability or circumstance.
